We have some great gluten free lunch ideas! And the perfect match are our gluten free loaves!
Glutafin Select Loaves are available in White, Fibre and Seeded varieties. They are all high in fibre, a source of folic acid for a healthy body and a source of calcium for keeping bones strong. The loaves are available to order individually so you can mix and match across the three so lunch time doesn't become boring!
Here are some new and interesting sandwich fillings you may not of thought of:
Gluten Free lunch idea: Chicken Waldorf – a great way of using Sunday roast leftovers. Take some cooked chicken, a little chopped apple, a handful of sultanas and a couple of broken walnuts, mix with mayo and spread between slices of Glutafin Select White Loaf.
Gluten Free lunch idea: Quattro Formaggio – a little of the Italian Pizzeria at lunchtime. Grate four of your favourite cheeses (we like Cheddar, Double Gloucester, Stilton and Pecorino), mix together and use to fill Glutafin Select Part baked White Rolls. Enjoy as it is or add a little Branston pickle or tomato chutney. These rolls are a favourite among coeliacs!
Gluten Free lunch idea: Fiery Fish – smoked mackerel is a firm favourite in our kitchen, packed full of essential Omega-3 oil, and this simple sandwich really gives it a kick. Sparingly spread horseradish sauce onto slices of Glutafin Select White Loaf, pile on some fresh green leaves and add your smoked mackerel.
Gluten Free lunch idea: Indian Delight – certainly more lively than coronation chicken, we love this spicy filling. Add a pinch of garam masala and a pinch of cumin to a spoonful of mayo. Mix in diced, cooked chicken and sultanas and fill Glutafin Gluten Free Wheat Free Fibre Rolls for a lunchtime Indian Delight
PS. for a vegetarian option we’ve been roasting parsnips and allowing to cool before combining with the mayo and spices.
