Honey and Sunflower Seed Bread Recipe

Honey and Sunflower Seed Bread - Glutafin gluten free recipes

A delicious moist gluten free seeded loaf. Ideal for breakfast or sweet sandwiches. 




You will need:



Preparation time:
15 minutes

Cooking time:
25 minutes

Oven temperature: 200 C / Gas mark 6
Makes:
1 x 450g/1lb Loaf



Ingredients

250g/9oz Glutafin Select White Mix
½ Sachet easy blend yeast enclosed with Mix
25g/1oz Margarine
110g/4fl oz Milk
75g/3fl oz Water
1 level tbsp Clear honey
40g/1½oz Sunflower seeds





Method

1.Place the Glutafin Mix and yeast in a bowl and mix.
2.Melt the margarine in a small saucepan. Remove from the heat and add the milk, water and honey. The mixture should be just warm.
3.Add the warm liquid to the dry ingredients and beat well until a smooth batter is formed. Stir in half of the sunflower seeds.
4.Spoon into a greased 450g/1lb non-stick loaf tin. Cover with an oiled polythene bag and leave to rise in a warm place until the mixture reaches the top of the tin.
5.Sprinkle with the rest of the sunflower seeds. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
6.Remove from the tin and leave to cool on a cooling rack.


Gluten-free, wheat-free option
Use Glutafin Gluten free Wheat free White Mix.
Increase milk to 175ml/6floz
